The ST SLIM Series was developed due to increasing lean manufacturing demands for conservation of valuable plant floor space. ST SLIM robots were designed to minimize floor space consumption while still providing the application functionality needed by today's industry leaders. The ST SLIM robots can be used alone in micro-manufacturing cells or in combination with larger robot models to create multi-layered high-density manufacturing lines. Taking advantage of this advanced space saving concept can reduce required work cell floor size by as much as 50%. The ST "SLIM" Series is comprised of two space saving robot models, the ST70L and the ST100.

Don't let the compact size of the ST SLIM Series fool you, these are high capacity robots with generous allowable wrist torque capable of supporting numerous applications. Payloads as high as 220lbs can be supported by the ST100 while still providing an impressive 1.6 meter reach. If you don't need the full payload capacity of an ST100, the ST70L has an extended horizontal reach of nearly 2 meters. Also available on the ST SLIM Series is Nachi's Cable Management System (CMS). Power and communication cables as well as water and air hoses are completely contained within the CMS. Neat packaging of all utilities eliminates the risk of them getting caught on peripheral equipment. This advantage allows very accurate offline programming as the robot dress geometry is standard.
